Umbria
Umbria, which borders with Tuscany, Lazio and Marche, is also called "the green heart of Italy"; it is known for medieval hilltop towns, dense forests and cuisine, especially truffles and wine. The regional capital, Perugia, rises in the hills and houses the Palazzo dei Priori, seat of the National Gallery of Umbria. The beating heart of the city is the pedestrian Corso Vannucci.
