Ladispoli is literally cut by two small rivers, the Sanguinara and the Fosso Vaccina, which can be crossed by the four bridges near the seafront, two of which are entirely made of wood. The sand of the beaches of Ladispoli is originally black due to the high iron component and it is for this reason that until the sixties it was a popular holiday resort for the possibility of therapeutic sandblasting. Of the numerous woods and marshes that were present in the territory during the Middle Ages, today the faunal oasis of Palo, crossed by the cycle path, and the swamp of Torre Flavia remain.
