Campitello Matese

Campitello Matese is located in the heart of the Molise Apennines and, in particular, on the slopes of Monte Miletto (2050 m asl). 
The plateau is located within the Matese Massif, and behind it stands Mount Miletto, the highest peak of the massif, and other important mountains are Monte Croce and La Gallinola. Surrounded by unspoiled landscapes, it is one of the most important tourist resorts in Molise and is known as one of the snowiest ski resorts in central-southern Italy.

In summer Campitello is an excellent starting point for naturalistic excursions in the Matese. 
A chairlift leaves from the town and climbs up to Mount Miletto (2050 m), from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the entire surrounding area.
