Cavi di Lavagna, or simply Cavi, is a hamlet of 400 inhabitants in the municipality of Lavagna, in the metropolitan city of Genoa. The hamlet is located on the coast of gulf of Tigullio between the municipalities of Lavagna e Sestri Levante. Originally a historic small fishing village, it is today an important and well-known tourist - seaside resort in the area, especially in the summer; the coast is typically low and sandy. Currently, two main areas can be recognized in Cavi: the older one, but now less crowded, called Cavi Borgo (closer to Sestri Levante), and the more modern, where there is also a nightclub, called Cavi Arenelle (closer to Lavagna ).
