Febbio is the highest town in the Val d'Asta, in the municipality of Villa Minozzo at 1053 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Cusna, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park.
About 2 km from Febbio, in the town of Rescadore, there is one of the major winter sports resorts in the Reggio Emilia Apennines: in winter the north-eastern side of Cusna transforms into a well-equipped ski resort for beginners and experts. The vast Cusna ridge and the variety of the landscape make mountaineering, off-piste and cross-country skiing possible. From Rescadore (1153 m), a chairlift in two sections allows you to reach the edge of the Cusna ridge, at over 2063 meters above sea level, the highest in the Reggio Emilia Apennines. 19 km of slopes allow for various choices. There is also an efficient system for producing artificial snow.
The systems allow the transport of up to 1500 people/hour.
